The Suspensions are a series of informal movements designed for the student to become increasingly aware of her/his body as one whole, moving organism and in so doing uncover and release areas of tension or resistance. There are two parts to The Suspensions - one series practiced on the floor, the other in a chair. Both the floor and the chair series are a complete practice within themselves. We encourage you to become acquainted with the Floor Suspensions before attempting the Third and Fourth Sections and the Chair Suspensions before embarking upon the Fifth Section.
